Four platforms, each linked to its own site. These are the systems Vivlio works inside or alongside, not customers.
Hint Health
The membership and billing platform for direct care practices. Vivlio is listed in the Hint Marketplace and runs inside Hint with the practice's own sign-in.
athenahealth
Cloud EHR and practice management. Vivlio joined the athenahealth Marketplace program in 2022.
Elation
EHR for primary care. Vivlio works alongside it, bringing the outside record to the patient the practice already has open.
Olira
Patient data infrastructure for clinical AI. Vivlio supplies the outside record it compiles.
The networks
Connected to the national record networks.
Vivlio connects to the established health information exchanges and to the newer federal framework, and retrieves the outside record from hospitals, specialists, imaging centers and prior providers through them.
Carequality
An interoperability framework, run by The Sequoia Project, under which networks, EHR vendors and other implementers agree to one set of legal and technical terms, so a participant in one can query records held by a participant in any other, for a permitted purpose such as treatment.
CommonWell Health Alliance
A not-for-profit health data network whose members, mostly EHR vendors, link patient identities and exchange clinical documents across their systems. It connects to Carequality so its participants and Carequality's can reach each other, and it is a designated Qualified Health Information Network under TEFCA.
TEFCA and QHINs
The Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement is the federal framework for nationwide health information exchange under the 21st Century Cures Act. Qualified Health Information Networks are the networks designated to exchange under it for their participants; the first were designated in December 2023.
The terms on which Vivlio queries them are published: the Electronic Networks agreement and the Business Associate Agreement. Access requires a treating provider's NPI, a declared purpose of use and a signed BAA.
